What a splash!

The Northlands Girls’ High School annual Interhouse Gala was nothing short of legendary. From the early morning cheers echoing through the corridors to the final nail-biting relay, the spirit was unmatched!
This year’s themes brought the heat: Vaughan & Shepstone teamed up for a “Grinch & Christmas” collab, Lewis brought the speed as the Cheetahs, and Banks dove deep as the Avatars.
It all came down to the wire. Shepstone held the lead for most of the day, but a massive surge from Banks in the final races turned the tide. With the loudest cheers in Durban North backing them, Banks clinched the win by just two points in the final Ladder Relay!
There was some fun and drama in the staff race—after a “VAR” review by Mr Louis and Mrs Van Der Merwe, Mrs Goliath officially took the win over Mr Beyers.
The 2026 Results were:
1st: Banks (216)
2nd: Shepstone (214)
3rd: Lewis (130)
4th: Vaughan (102)
Spirit Trophy: Vaughan
Junior Medley & Victrix: Ratanang Gambu
Senior Medley & Victrix: Faith Doveton
Thank you to the incredible Staff, First Aid Team, Estate Teams, Catering, and Marketing teams for making this day run so seamlessly. A big thank you to Mrs Du Toit and the Sports Department for all their hard work.
